php Frameworks

PostAuthor: Mike » Fri Mar 08, 2013 11:39 am

Over time I have tested most of the php frameworks with a view to using one of them for future development...

Being a little older than your average developer, I have no time for steep learning curves as with synfony and have opted for codeigniter or similar framework... Having said that, I realise phpBB4 will use Symfony but that's in the distant future...

I'm also tempted to start one from scratch based on phpbb code and implementing the existing phpBB3 template engine, sessions, authentication, login etc... I have already designed a couple of sites that use the phpBB3 core for the back end, that is, the sites do not include a forum at all...

I have installed latest... from git...
Modified Olympus for it too... simplified so I don't need any css fixes...

Looks much nicer than prosilver

I don't see any real implementation of Symfhony so far...
